Beijing calls for Vatican to establish conditions for a well bilateral ties after a telegram sent by Catholic Pope Francis to Chinese President Xi Jinping.
In a held press conference, spokesman Hua Chunying of Chinese Foreign Ministry commented on a question about the sent telegram saying that Beijing is willing to set up talks with the Vatican on relevant principles.
Beijing on some occasions has said its conditions to improve its ties with the Vatican. Some of the conditions are the Vatican should recognize the People's Republic of China (Mainland China) as the only state representing China, the Vatican should terminate its diplomatic ties with Republic of China (Taiwan,) and the Vatican should refrain from interfering in China's internal affairs through religion.
