A spokesperson of Chinese Foreign Ministry called on relevant countries to denuclearize Korean Peninsula and to ensure peace and stability by means of talks.

At a routine press briefing, Spokesman Hong Lei said that China is committed to safeguarding peace and stability in the region as well as denuclearization of the Koren Peninsula. He added that China is against any action that can lead to tensions.

On Saturday, KCNA News Agency told that Pyongyang has proposed to the US that North Korean Government will temporarily suspend its nuclear tests if the US-South Korea military drills will be suspended. In response, Jen Paski, US State Department Spokesman said on Saturday that the statement links routine US-South Korea drills to possible nuclear test inappropriately and tagged the proposal an "implicit threat."
