TOKYO TO BUY F-35A AND V-22 OSPREY

Abe said on Wednesday at a press conference "This budget will contribute to achieve economic regain and to restore fiscal health together."

In shopping list which is announced in late 2013, Abe's cabinet are planning to procure military hardwares such as six 5th generation F-35A stealth fighter aircraft which cost $148 million a unit reportedly, five Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft which cost $68 million a piece reportedly.

Also in the shopping list are domestically built weapons and hardwares. Tokyo is also looking forward to acquiring a fleet of  American-made Global Hawk UAVs to boost Tokyo's surveillance capability although this UAV procurement will not be covered by 2015 budget, Tokyo told AFP.
