CONCERNS RAISED REGARDING PLA PRESENCE IN INDIAN OCEAN

According to an article by National Interest, PLA gets ready for long-term deployment to the Indian Ocean. Pla also are planning to use dual-purpose ports to be a secret ammunition caches as well as to support military operations.

National Interest also stated that China prepares to dominate Indian Ocean after the deployment of amphibious ship vessel and a nuclear-powered submarine  to the said waters. China aims itself to become a major maritime player in Indian Ocean by increasing deployments to counter piracy.

Concerns are raised regarding the PLA's increasing activity in the region whether China is only up for anti-piracy campaigns or only establishing itself to reinforce its aim to encircle India that could be a vital geo-positions if a conflict happened.
